Button Head Socket Screws
ISO 7380-1 Standard & ISO 7380-2 Flanged Button Head Screws
Button Head Socket Screws combine a smooth low-profile rounded head with an internal hex drive and metric machine thread. VALTOR supplies ISO 7380-1 standard heads and ISO 7380-2 collar-style geometry for machinery, panels, brackets, automation equipment and OEM assemblies.
Product Overview
ISO 7380-1 specifies a hexagon socket button head screw with a compact rounded profile and smaller under-head bearing interface. ISO 7380-2 uses a similar low button head with an integral collar that increases the bearing diameter and distributes contact over a wider area.
Both versions use an internal hex socket and metric coarse thread across M3–M16. Selection should consider clearance, appearance, tool access, component material, hole diameter, bearing pressure and joint design. The ISO 7380-2 collar is functional rather than decorative, but it should not automatically be claimed to replace a separate washer in every assembly.
The low head profile and internal socket leave less material in the head section than a conventional full-height Socket Head Cap Screw. Applicable ISO 7380 products have reduced head loadability—approximately 80% of that represented by the threaded portion—and should not automatically replace ISO 4762 fasteners in highly loaded joints without engineering review.

Material, Thread & Size Options
Standard, Flanged & OEM Manufacturing
Supply includes ISO 7380-1 standard geometry and ISO 7380-2 collar geometry. Stainless collar-style products are confirmed against dimensional and customer material requirements.
Head diameter and height, collar diameter and thickness, socket size and depth, Metric Coarse, Metric Fine, UNC and UNF may be reviewed. Geometry outside ISO 7380 is described as custom.
Provide ISO 7380-1 / ISO 7380-2 / custom, diameter, pitch, length, material, head and collar requirement, property specification, quantity, drawing or sample.
Inner bags, small boxes, export cartons, pallets, customer labels, part numbers and authorized private-label packaging may be supported.
Socket, Head & Dimensional Quality Inspection
Inspection may cover thread diameter, pitch, profile, continuity and fit; length measured from the bearing surface; head diameter, height, radius, concentricity and defects; collar diameter, thickness, surface and concentricity; and socket size, depth, position, burrs and tool engagement. Material is verified against the purchase requirement. Functional checks may cover thread fit, head/collar seating and component fit without invented torque, tensile or clamp-load values. Documentation can include MTC, raw-material, dimensional, product, actually performed mechanical and third-party inspection reports.
Applications
Low-profile internal-hex fastening for machinery, automation and OEM equipment.

Compact fastening for serviceable covers, guards and equipment components.
Frames and mechanisms where internal hex drive and reduced head height are useful.
Standard or collar versions selected by available bearing area and panel design.
Compact machine-threaded fastening for brackets, fixtures and machinery components.
Standard or custom geometry matched to equipment head, collar, material and length requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between ISO 7380-1 and ISO 7380-2?
ISO 7380-1 specifies a standard Hexagon Socket Button Head Screw, while ISO 7380-2 adds an integral collar for a larger bearing surface.
Why do ISO 7380 Button Head Screws have reduced loadability?
The low head and internal socket leave less head-section material than a conventional full-height Socket Head Cap Screw, so replacement in highly loaded joints requires engineering review.
What sizes can VALTOR supply?
The standard families cover M3–M16 metric coarse threads. VALTOR commonly supplies approximately 5–100 mm lengths depending on diameter, material and configuration.
Can ISO 7380-2 collar-style screws be supplied in 304 or 316 stainless steel?
Yes. Because the current ISO 7380-2:2022 scope officially specifies steel, stainless versions are confirmed against the required dimensional geometry, drawing and material specification rather than assuming full standard material compliance.
When should I choose a Button Head Screw with a collar?
Choose it when a larger integrated bearing surface benefits the joint. Selection should consider material, bearing pressure, hole geometry and joint design; the collar does not always eliminate a separate washer.
