Product Overview

This product is selected as a screw + expansion plug system. The screw supplies tightening force, fixture clamping and internal plug engagement; the matched plug expands and bears against the pre-drilled substrate hole.

The Hex Flange Torx version suits exposed brackets, rails and profiles, combining external-hex tooling, internal Torx access and a broad integral bearing flange. The Countersunk Torx version supports flush or near-flush seating in a compatible fixture countersink.

Specify head type, Torx and external-hex size, screw diameter and length, 304/316 grade, plug material, diameter and length, base material, fixture thickness, required engagement, quantity and screw-only or complete-kit supply.

Screw-to-Plug Matching, Expansion Mechanism & Head Selection

Expansion Sequence
Pre-drill → insert plug → insert screw → tighten → screw engages plug → plug expands against hole wall. The metal screw does not directly cut a thread in concrete.
Screw-to-Plug Match
Plug internal geometry must match screw diameter; incorrect pairing can cause insufficient expansion, excessive deformation or high driving force.
Length Selection
Consider fixture thickness, plug length, required engagement and head seating—not plug outside diameter alone.
Hex Flange Torx
External hex + internal Torx with a large integral bearing face for exposed bracket and rail fixing.
Countersunk Torx
Selected for compatible countersunk fixtures requiring flush seating; no universal head angle is claimed without a drawing.
Base / Hole Preparation
Match plug to concrete, brick, block or AAC; control drill diameter, hole depth, cleaning and alignment according to system data.
Supply Options
Screw only or matched screw + nylon plug set according to actual geometry, substrate and application.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do Torx Frame Fixing Screws work with plastic expansion plugs?

The pre-drilled hole receives the plug. Tightening the screw engages and expands the plug against the hole wall; the screw does not directly form a thread in concrete.

What is the difference between Hex Flange Torx and Countersunk Torx?

Hex Flange uses exposed external hex, internal Torx and an integral bearing flange. Countersunk Torx is selected for compatible flush fixture seating.

Can VALTOR supply the screw with the nylon plug?

Yes. Supply may be screw-only or a matched screw-and-plug set after confirming screw, plug, base material and application.

Should I choose 304 or 316 Stainless Steel?

304/A2 suits many general applications; 316/A4 is commonly preferred for demanding exterior, humid, coastal and façade environments.

Can one plastic plug be used in every base material?

No. Plug geometry and expansion behavior must match concrete, solid or hollow masonry, block or AAC using system data or testing.
