Stainless Steel Spring Lock Washers
Split Spring Washers for Bolted Connections, Machinery & Industrial Assembly
Stainless Steel Spring Lock Washers are single-coil split washers with helical free-state geometry and rectangular spring section. Installed beneath a bolt head, screw head or nut, they compress as the joint is tightened and provide traditional elastic washer action.
Product Overview
A Split Spring Washer is a single circular coil with one split, axially offset ends and rectangular section. It is fitted beneath a bolt head, screw head or nut in suitable machinery, fabrication and equipment joints.
As tightening progresses, free height h is compressed and the washer develops elastic reaction. This traditional action can help maintain contact in appropriate joints, but it is not a guaranteed anti-loosening or universal high-vibration locking solution.
Buyers should specify nominal fastener size, Form A or B where relevant, d1, d2, section width b, thickness s, free height h, material, finish, quantity and drawing or sample.

Custom Dimensions & OEM Manufacturing
d1, d2, b, s, h, end form, material and finish.
Traditional DIN 127 dimensions, customer drawing, sample or OEM specification.
Provide nominal size, form, dimensions, material, finish, quantity and drawing; bags, boxes, cartons, pallets and customer labels available.
Spring Geometry & Quality Inspection
Inspection may cover dimensions, free height, spring form, burrs, surface and material. Functional checks may assess compression, specified permanent deformation and mating-fastener fit without claiming universal spring-load values.
Applications

Traditional elastic washer action under bolt heads or nuts.
Stainless options for suitable enclosure, cabinet and equipment fasteners.
Conventional bolted joints in brackets, frames and fabricated components.
304/A2 and 316/A4 selection according to exposure.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Split Spring Lock Washer?
A single-coil split washer with helical free-state geometry that compresses as a joint is tightened.
Is DIN 127 still a current standard?
No. DIN 127 is withdrawn, but remains widely used in international purchasing; VALTOR supplies traditional DIN 127 dimensions or customer specifications.
What is the difference between DIN 127 Form A and Form B?
They use different split/end geometry; specify the exact form required by the drawing or assembly.
Do Spring Lock Washers completely prevent bolt loosening?
No. They provide traditional elastic action, not universal high-vibration locking; joint design determines whether another method is needed.
Can VALTOR supply 304 and 316 Stainless Steel Spring Washers?
Yes. 304/A2 and 316/A4 versions plus custom dimensions are available according to inquiry.
